Platform 51 St Helens- In Partnership Project
The In Partnership Project is a counselling service for young people who live or access a GP in the borough of St Helens, Merseyside.
We provide counselling for young people aged from 11 to 19 years old – male and female. Any young person within this age range can self refer or if they prefer any organisation/agency can make a referral to the In Partnership Project. Once a referral is made a young person will be contacted within 48 hours by a counsellor from the project.
Referrals can be for any number of reasons: bullying, breakdown in relationships, domestic violence, emotions, eating disorders, isolation, not attending school, problems within their home environment, self harm (monitored very closely), self esteem and many other presenting issues.
Young people can access counselling for six one hour sessions. The In Partnership Project has ten counsellors who use diverse methods such as cognitive behaviour therapy, person centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy and gestalt therapy.
If the In Partnership Project does not the meet the needs of a young person we will assess and signpost/refer appropriately.
Counselling is provided within schools and other venues in the borough of St Helens. To make a referral to the In Partnership Project please contact: Programme Manager - Debbie Spencer on 07770 661432 or Platfrom 51 Knowsley on 0151 547 7800
