The vulnerable girls and women we work with victims of sexism, neglect, violence, abuse or they suffer from poor mental health. They frequently struggle with a lack of self-worth, poverty, loneliness and boredom, and may be more likely to commit crimes than other women.

When a woman first comes to Platform 51 we assess her basic needs, such as health, food and housing, and help her get all the support she is entitled to. Then we try to understand her mental and physical health, her educational needs and what she wants to achieve.

As a charity, we couldn't help as many girls and women as we do without the help of individual donations from people like you. This year we will provide support, choices and opportunities for more than 11,000 girls and women, helping them to build their self-confidence and a better future.
