Young women who live in poverty have been overlooked. The Government’s commitment to end child poverty by 2020 has not been extended to young people, the problems associated with being female and young have hardly been considered at all. This briefing examines what life is really like for young women who live in poverty in England and Wales, and describes the causes and consequences.
