Our vision, aims and strategy
Platform 51 wants a world where women are in control of their own lives.
Girls and women are at the heart of all we do. Our activities, services and campaigns are about things women need and want. We give them a platform to have their say and challenge discrimination.
We want girls and women to:
- be inspired and determined
- be healthy and safe
- be in control
- speak out and be listened to
- gain opportunities, and
- give back.
Platform 51 works with girls and women of any age or background who need us.
We will always work in the ways that get the best results
What we plan to do
Over the next few years we plan to:
- make our work more effective, reach out to more women and offer them quality assured services
- make our influencing as effective as possible
- increase the number of women taking part and volunteering, and attract more support and volunteers
- improve our commercial and income generating capability
- strengthen recognition of what we do
- manage change effectively and grow.
